Richard Wood, Gaming Commissioner for the Seneca Cayuga passed away in August 2013 and his family sent this card to thank the OTGRA for flowers sent in his memory. In addition to Richard's participation as an active member of the OTGRA, Richard was very active with the Tribal Gaming Working Group MICS document review and followed closely the work of the 2011-2012 NIGC Tribal Advisory Committee (TAC) work in its review of the proposed 547 and 543 regulations. Today, the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC/Commission) announced that it will extend the deadline to provide public comment on two proposed rules, 25 CFR Parts 543 and 547. The new deadline pro for public comments to be submitted to NIGC on or before August 15, 2012. The public comment period originally closed on July 31, 2012.
